I need to put crystal reports onto a laptop and don't have any more spare licenses, has anyone got one that they don't need? I will be happy to swap it for some cash or Mole End software (with a fantastic exchange rate on the latter).

lol, I have uncovered a secret need -
I was talking to someone on eBay about one this morning but they wanted £100+ for their copy which I thought was a little high. They have removed their listing now so presumably made a private sale to someone else but I'm sure that there will be more soon.

I would suspect the license Actinic have for Crystal Reports won't be the same one we can buy (ie. single license) for a few hundred quid, but a multi-license which costs a pretty penny. If it ain't broke, don't fix itOriginally posted by consciouspnm View PostAre we sure that 9.0.4 still requires v8.5 when it finally gets released and will V10 go for a newer version?

I don't see the move away from Crystal reports being a high priority for Actinic. There are many more important things for them to focus on.

I agree with you Mike, however it is a real shame that the reporting architecture is based on an old version of Crystal Reports when there are many alternative options available now for a robust, versatile reporting mechanism within the software framework.Originally posted by olderscot View PostYou'll find more details on Actinic and Crystal Reports here http://community.actinic.com/showthread.php?t=17915

There have been bugs identified in the reporting module within Actinic in the past. Perhaps a "good" rewrite of this may have mitigated against lost time fixing bugs whilst improving the user experience to boot and avoid a scramble for software which is several years old and hard to find!If it ain't broke, don't fix it
