What really lies behind my comment is that I can't stand driving in London ever since I left, so the sheer thought of driving in there, particularly that awful traffic snarl of Richmond, leaves me cold. 4 miles - that's about an hour these days isn't it?

Travelodge Heathrow Heston (Westbound) - £25 per night
Travelodge Heathrow Heston (Eastbound) - £29 per night
(saver rate - non-refundable)
Both are family rooms and could sleep three adults - That's £8.33 per person if you don't mind sharing, although one bed would be a double.

I will probably be going. It's only an hour from here by public transport so I've no excuse not to really. Driveway available for visitors!

I think that the user conference is only for boys Tracey because I didn't get an invite either.

I've stayed at one of those Travelodges - they are quite isolated but very cheap. No access to tubes without a taxi or car though.

i haven't had an invite either

having said that i cancelled my cover contract a few weeks ago so i guess actinic are sulking, either that or i spammed it out

Apparently, an email was sent but I never received it. I think it's even been re-sent but still not had it (checked webmail/spam..no-show)
I take that as an invite anyway though

Now just need to decide
a) do I REALLY want to go? (who am I kidding? LOL)
b) Can I really afford it? (especially after wasting 3 days fixing hack-attacks and losing significant sales in the process)
If I can manage to get train tickets at discount, I'll be happier about it. They're not being released for those dates for another couple of weeks though so I'll just have to be quick, when they are!
