All references in this thread apart from one seem to have been censored and I believe v9.0.5 now encrypts the sensitive details as promised.
I have checked mine and the email address field is definitely encrypted.

two versions and many updates later, still the same?

Isn't v9.0.5 the only new release since mid July.
