Hi Lee
I started off worrying about this (7 years ago), so I signed up to a psp.
I put the PSP logo on the title page, and have had two queries since then,
each easy to answer - I do not even bother to put in all the bits about encryption, etc.
I did however, put in SSL at the time - do not waste your time
All people are interested in is that their cards are not going to be misused
If, the site is genuine, and the PSP is revealed, the customer can get their money back
The padlock appears when they input their card details on the relevant page.
In these times, I would be very unhappy to buy on a site which did not have a PSP - one or two exceptions.
We still get customers, who are still nervous about using the PSP - they phone with the details of their cards - or even email them!
We always put them through our PSP
In our experience SSP makes no difference to orders - indeed, I think the fact that you are using another, accredited agency to take the card helps on orders
Regards
Howard
