        Actinic 006 HOSTING issues.

        Hello,

        This attack is not good for our sales; this weekend is one of the very best for revenue and will affect our overall performance. I have two issues here; not only do I have the hosting issue but I cannot access my emails as they also go through the same server.

        Can you please let me know when this issue will be sorted as the reason I went I paid more to go with Actinic hosting was to avoid downtime such as this. Another issue I have here with the emails is that I cannot access my IP address DNS settings as they have been sent to me via email!

        An urgent response would be gratefully appreciated as my site www.bedlinendirect.co.uk has now been down way too long.

          Please be aware we are opening our support desk for people that have been impacted by the DDOS attack on Host006.

          The service will be limited and only for customers with hosting problems.

          The support desk will be open until 1600hrs, normal service will resume on Tuesday.

              The service will be limited and only for customers with hosting problems.

              The support desk will be open until 1600hrs, normal service will resume on Tuesday.

                  A quick note to say thanks to Actinic and Steve Wardell in particular. An unpleasant situation to be in at THE most inconvenient time of year.

                  After changing the DNS settings to the new IP address, the website was visible to "unique" visitors within an hour.

                  My biggest problem was getting rid of the local cache! When I tried to publish updates to the website, Actinic was still trying to find the website at the old IP address, even though the new server host details had been changed.

                  For those still going through this, I found it easiest to use IE as the default browser. Delete all history and in browsing history settings, "Check for newer versions of stored pages" set to "Every time I visit the web page".

                      We are still down, can we wait for the attack to finish or is it best to change to a new DNS, if so can you send over the new DNS and details please.

                              I just picked up that we are hit by this too.

                              Being the Bank Holiday today, can I just confirm that the only way to sort this at the moment is to call support on Tuesday morning?

                              Our domain is hosted with you guys and we also subscribe to support so if you could let me know I would appreciate it.
