Perhaps i should invent an installer that deals with the database... an api that deals with it in actinic.... and a smart template engine that inserts the plugins into the templates. I'd be on forever tying it all together... and then the support for it would be a nightmare for little old me.

I fear the profits may be big pants too. lol.
And you wonder why we've never done it?!

It's not that we have never considered this, and if we were the size of Adobe or Sage, for example, then we probably would. But to do it properly and on a centralised basis, the first requirement would be some kind of accreditation for plugins and their developers (like Adobe or Sage, for example...) That would require us to administer it, provide detailed help and documentation, do a lot of testing, etc etc. We're a small company and we couldn't afford the overhead of that. We would have to charge a significant fee just to cover our costs. Given the size of the market for Actinic plugins and the likely rewards, I doubt if there would be many takers.

We're always happy to list plugins on our Actinic Plugins web page.
