Introduction
This program is for converting products in upgraded SellerDeck sites into a 'single product per page' layout using the new Product Page feature in v11.

NB: before using this tool please be sure to download orders and take a backup of your site, and close your SellerDeck software package.
ALL products that meet the criteria you select in the tool will have their settings changed, regardless of what their settings are currently.

To install the app, simply unzip ConvertSPP.zip into a folder on your PC
To run the app, open the folder in Explorer and double-click the ConvertSPP.exe file. If you have file suffixes hidden then it will appear as ConvertSPP, with file type 'Application'. You can right-click the file and add a shortcut to your desktop if you prefer.
Connecting to a Database
Before you can run the tool, you need to connect it with the site you want to convert.
Product Page settings
Converting from the Advanced User Guide method
If you previously adopted the Advanced User Guide method to create single product pages using Extended Information pages, change the 'Convert' setting to 'Extended info pages to Single Product Pages'.
The application will map your current Extended Information Page settings to the new Product Pages. In addition to any existing links from to the product page, it will add a link from the Product Name. You can disable this if you wish by changing 'Clicking Product Name opens to 'Nothing'.
The product layout for your new product pages will use the default 'Standard Layout Using CSS'. You can change this in Site Options | Product Page. You will probably want to use a simpler product layout in the list of products in the Section page. By default the conversion tool will change the parent setting to a new 'Product Summary' layout. Select a different layout here if that is not the one you want. You can change it later in Site Options if you need to.
Enabling Single Product Per Page for the first time
If you have never adopted a 'single product per page' layout, and you wish to do so for the first time, select the 'Convert' option 'All products to Single Product Pages'.
Link Options
There are three options for creating links from the product listing in the section page. Each can be enabled or disabled separately, and can link either to the Product Page or the Extended Information Page:
By default the converter will enable all three elements to link to the Product Page. If this is not what you want, change the settings accordingly before you run the application. You can also change the text for the text link if you wish.
Product List Layout
The product layout for your new product pages will use the default 'Standard Layout Using CSS'. You can change this in Site Options | Product Page. You will probably want to use a simpler product layout in the list of products in the Section page. By default the conversion tool will change the parent setting to a new 'Product Summary' layout. Select a different layout here if that is not the one you want. You can change it later in Site Options if you need to.
Extended Information Page settings
If you are using Extended Information Pages for popup images or additional product information, and not as product pages, you may want to change their settings or the way links to them work. For example, you might want the product image in the product list to link to the Product Page, but the product image on the Product Page to open an Extended Information popup page.
There are four initial options in this section:
Links from the product list are controlled by the 'Single Product Page Settings' above. The Extended Information Page Settings section lets you create links from the new Product Page to the Extended Information Pages. Options are clicking the product image, a 'More Info' text link or a 'More Info' button. You can enable each one separately by ticking the corresponding box, and change the text used for the text link.
The other selections in this section change the overall site settings for the Extended Information Page layout and type. You can change also change these settings in Site Options | Extended Information if you need to. See the main SellerDeck help for information.
Running the conversion
When you are happy with your settings, click 'Convert Content'.
When the conversion is complete, the application will display the message 'Your database was successfully updated'.
Be sure to exit the tool by clicking 'Close' before you open your site in SellerDeck. Then check the results are as you intended before uploading your store.

Limitations
- If your site uses subsections as single-product pages, and you want to benefit from the performance improvement available by using the new Product Pages in v11, you will need to move your products into their parent sections and delete the single-product subsections, either before or after running this tool.
- The tool does not change the Product Page settings for the site or the existing sections.
- If you want new products you create in future to have Product Pages enabled by default, you will need to enable this in the Product Page

- If you have the SQL version of SellerDeck Enterprise, change the 'Type of Database' to 'Microsoft SQL Server'. Otherwise leave it set to 'Microsoft Access'
- Now click the browse button to the right of the 'Database' field, and browse to your site folder. Select the file 'ActinicCatalog.mdb' and click 'Open'
- Click 'Connect to Database'
Product Page settings
