Compact Databases with sites running off an SQL Database

SellerDeck Enterprise sites using SQL databases do not have a ‘Compact databases” option like sites running off an MS Access database.

Instead, there is an option to ‘Shrink’ the database from within MS SQL Server Management Studio.

1. 1. Open MS SQL Server Management Studio and connect to the relevant instance of SQL Server
2. 2. Expand ‘Databases’ from the Object Explorer tree
3. 3. Right click your database (ie Site1_Catalog) and choose:
   Tasks | Shrink | Database
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. Press 'OK'
