FATAL ERRORS (File ExportSite.cpp, Line 2598) - Unable to backup catalog database

When using SellerDeck Enterprise, upon snapshot creation you may see an error similar to the one below:

    FATAL ERRORS
(File ExportSite.cpp, Line 2598) - Unable to backup catalog database - fatal error.
    Reported error was:

Cannot open backup device '\\SERVER\Sites\Site1\Backup.bak'. Operating system error 3(failed to retrieve text for this error. Reason: 15100).BACKUP DATABASE is terminating abnormally.
If you are using remote SQL server, then you should have a valid UNC path specified for shared sites directory in File | Sites | Database Setup dialog. Please note that the path should be accessible from SQL server machine.
(File ExportSite.cpp, Line 2612) - Unable to backup shipping database - fatal error.

This error can occur when the “UNC path to Shared sites directory” is inaccurate, please see the steps below to correct this:
    1. In SellerDeck Enterprise, go to File | Sites | Database setup.
    2. Under “Backup Details (for remote SQL server only)” you can see a field “UNC path to Shared sites directory”.

You only need to include a path to the Sites folder if SQL Server and the Sites folder are on different machines. If they are on the same machine, leave the field blank.

]If SQL server and the sites folder are on different machines, you need to enter the UNC path to Shared sites directory as per below:

Enter the path to the shared sites directory in this format:

      \\SERVERNAME\SITES FOLDER NAME

      For example:

      \\PAULMACTINIC\Sites

    3. Click “OK”.
    4. Now try creating a new snapshot.
    5. If the error continues, the path to the Shared Sites folder may still be incorrect. Check the path as per the instructions below:
    6. Right click on the Shared Sites folder, and select “Properties”.
    7. Click on the “Sharing” tab.
    8. Under the heading “Network Path:”, copy and paste this path into the field “UNC path to Shared sites directory”.
