Testing for Apple Pay
In order to test Apple Pay, you will need access to an Apple device with payment cards added to the Apple Wallet otherwise the fields will not be visible. The payment option will appear in the shopping cart as a checkout replacement and as a payment method selection on the final page of checkout.
You will need to place and order as before. Clicking on the ‘Check out with Apple Pay’ In the shopping cart or on the ‘Apple Pay’ button in the checkout will take you to the series of screens shown in sequence below:-
A summary of the order will be shown on the initial screen. Double tapping will begin the payment process and take you to the second screen where you will need to enter your passcode.
Once entered, the next screen will show you that the payment is being processed before displaying the last screen where you can click through to the payment receipt page.
You will then be able to download these orders as usual.
NOTE: When using ‘Check out with Apple Pay’ button in the shopping cart there are shipping option selector screens. However, any other options that would normally be presented during the standard Sellerdeck checkout phase will not be available i.e. agreeing to Terms and Conditions, entering a purchase order number, entering a tax exemption number and the general information fields.
Once you are satisfied that the payment method is operating correctly, do not forget to void or cancel all your test orders.
