Checkout terms agreed page issue

Hi,
We had an issue with the checkout page with the agree terms check box not appearing after upgrading I think to V11, a quick call to support fixed this quickly.

Since upgrading to 2013 we have the same issue, sadly this time sellerdeck support has had a snapshot for a week and cannot find the issue! The preview of the checkout pages shows them all fine, just that page does not appear on the published site.

Very frustrating at a busy time when we rely on the terms being agreed to resolve return policy issues and delivery questions.

I wonder if anyone else has had this issue?

What checkout page do you have your Terms check box on? On a default site the terms check box appears on the second page, but your site skips the second page. You should be able to move the Terms check box in the layouts to one of the other pages.

No customising done, it shows in design tab fine, just will not publish - I wish I could recall what fix support gave me last time, I think it was something glitchy like a font colour or shipping issue....

Found the block of code, looks easy to copy / move but ideally I want it standard to avoid even more issues with future upgrades.

If you don't have shipping charges it hides checkout page 2 and hides the terms check box. Your site says it has shipping but skips page 2. Perhaps a customisation? There's an old post you made here. If you skip that page and do not allow shipping it might be easier to move the Terms check box.

Maybe it was removing shipping locations other than UK - I was hoping support would have found the issue as quick as last time, I may think about moving the code as less checkout pages often means less abandoned orders I suppose.

Yes that would make sense, little point having an additional page / step for just one check box.

Support say the workaround is to change shipping to simple - this would mean losing my shipping classes - great!

Both functions are standard - shipping classes / terms to be agreed before checkout - both cannot work together! Support confirm this is a bug.

EDIT - Louise - thanks again, I put the terms agreed code under payment method on page 2 as a temp fix - at least it is there and has to be checked...
