Are stock levels on duplicate products handled in the same way if the originating master product is visible or hidden?
I've got a section set up with a hidden sub section containing the original products & then some other sub sections at the same level with duplicates of the master section (quite a common scenario I believe?). Stock control works fine if the master section is visible, but when it's hidden the duplicates stock indication (only in/out, no qty) defaults to "in stock" regardless of the stock level of the hidden master & allows ordering of out of stock items.
The product stock fields are set up correctly in the master product & the duplicates stock details are set up not to be modifiable from the master - any ideas?
