Client cannot open SD. These are the messages:

There was a problem with the database.
Operation: opening the table
Record(s) cannot be read; no read permission on 'Setup'.
Contact your Sellerdeck reseller or Sellerdeck Support.

Record(s) cannot be read; no read permission on 'Setupinfo'.

Client has run the "repair" feature from SD downloads, and of course done a restart, but to no avail.

Older V16 loads OK

Can anyone offer any guidance please?

It sounds like it might be a permissions problem or corruption of the permisions settings in the database.

The first thing I'd do is make sure the client is logged into their computer as owner with full permissions.

If that doesn't work they might need to save the existing mdb just in case and try loading from a recent backup.

Hi Mike,

I've seen this quite a few times and it is usually a database corruption issue. In addition to using the compact and repair in the software you can use the same option in the ODBC control panel which often works when the internal one doesn't and if that fails there are some commercial products that can sometimes fix databases that haven't been fixed by the other two methods
