    Managed upgrade

    I had a problem with 18.12 with some java script errors that I opened a ticket for.
    I tried all the suggestions from support, they at their end upgraded a snapshot to v18.22 which cured it.
    I asked if they could manage the upgrade for me to cure it my end, they agreed in principle.
    I got a call from my account manager saying it could be done fast for me if I signed up for clearaccept sellerdeck pay.
    I am more than happy with my current payment solution so said I'd wait.
    I got an email today saying that my managed upgrade is CONDITIONAL on me signing up!
    Well I'm a bit shocked by this tactic.
    By the way I said I was willing to pay for the upgrade despite being a 365 customer.

    That's bad...
    - maybe check the version history to see what was fixed from 18.12 to 18.22

    SellerdeckPay only charges per charged transaction... so signing up didn't cost us anything.
    You can sign up and not use it?... but I hope they don't meddle with your existing solutions.

      I guess I'll have to have a go myself, just a bit concerned with all the posts about potential issues with going to 18.22

        We always do this on a different Pc. Just try an upgrade and see what happens, it may go easier than you expect.

          Ed, I’m away for 3 weeks, but when back happy to put your site through an upgrade on our development Pc and hosting for you to see what it would look like online. Can’t fix any issues, but you could see what it would be like with just a basic upgrade.

              Hi Ed, sorry you've had that issue. I've reviewed your support ticket and been in touch with your account manager. To clarify, support is very busy at the moment with ClearAccept upgrades and needing to prioritise those over other managed upgrades.

              They have confirmed that, for them, your site upgraded smoothly to v18.2.2 without any JS errors. You're welcome to try that upgrade for yourself, and support could help as usual if you have any issues with it. Alternatively you could stick with your current version a while longer, and we may be able to help with a managed upgrade later in the month - but I'm afraid I can't offer any guarantee of that.

                  Hi Ed,

                  If you want to sort out a snapshot for me with all your sensitive data, network details and orders removed etc I will be able to have a look at this after Wednesday next week. I think there may be a support snapshot that does this, but no idea if it can be imported into standard Sellerdeck software. Email me at content @ titan Jewellery . co .uk rather than on here.
