I know delete just marks the product and you then have to purge but is there any other difference in the action except cut deletes it there and then

Delete marks it for deletion then purge removes it from the database.
Cut copies it to the clipboard (then you paste it in elsewhere).
Don't know what happens if you don't follow 'cut' with 'paste' though.......Paul
