ActincShipping.fil corrupt @ checkout

After a customer completes their personal detail at the checkout an error appears "../ActinicShipping.fil is corrupt. The signature is invalid."
I have fixed this problem by compacting the database and shipping tables and then uploading the site, this sometimes fixes the problem straight away other times it takes a couple of tries.

Because I get this sharing violation:




The problem is, the error keeps happening and I simply don't have time to check the site on a daily basis. I need to fix this problem once and for all.
Can anybody help?

Have you a backup application running in the background? That could be causing the sharing violation.

Mike, sorry for the late reply on this. I have worked through the knowledge base link, thanks a lot for your help. do you think this could be causing the file to corrupt?

I suspect the sharing violation is probably what is causing the file to corrupt.

In principle it shouldn't be as it's intended to prevent this kind of problem but maybe Actinic isn't that well behaved when a sharing violation occurs and it seems unlikely that it's an unrelated coincidence.
