Hi there,
My v.10 has been quite happily working away using Windows 7 for some time now, until just a few days ago when I tried to upload new products to my website.
The web address is www.procutvinyl.co.uk
Every time I try an upload, it uploads the changes to the website, but I'm met with the same error message as shown below:
I have tried a website purge and refresh and the same error message appears, but it does continue to upload and refresh the site.
If I press the download order button or now try to run the network test, I get a similar error message that reads as follows:
Actinic received a server error from the web server. The CGI scripts are not executing properly on the server. The error could be caused by several things. Check:
- the 'Path to the Perl shell'
- the 'CGI script extension'
- the 'Path to CGI-BIN'
- the 'CGI-BIN URL.
- the amount of web space left on your server
- if your server is configured to accept POSTs to CGI scripts
- the permissions on the server:
On Linux/Unix based servers the permissions should be:
cgi-bin (755) – drwxr-xr-x
Online Store Folder (777) – drwxrwxrwx
On Windows based servers (need to be checked with the hosting company):
IIS
cgi-bin = read/execute
Online Store Folder = read/write/execute
NTFS
cgi-bin = Catalog's FTP account needs 'Change' permissions on the directory
Online Store Folder = Catalog's FTP account needs 'Change' permissions on the directory AND the IUSR_<servername> account needs to have 'Change' permissions on the directory
Run Web | Configure Web Site Details... to review your web site configuration.
So I run the web | configure web site details which ticks everything, but another error message appears on the mail server part, yet I have not changed any of my network settings as everything was working just fine until just a few days ago.

I have contacted my web host 34sp.com yesterday morning who said they would have their engineers look in to it, but so far nothing on how to resolve this.
I've tried to import the site back in using a previous back up, but the same issues still occur, I have even gone as far as removing the program and re-installing it in Windows 7 and then importing back in my latest backup of the site as well a many previous copies.
I really need to get this sorted asap as customers are contacting me trying to place orders, but obviously cannot do so at the moment and god knows how many more sales I could be loosing because of the issue.
Sorry for the novel, but I've tried to cover everything I know about it.
Has anyone experienced this and may know of a way of resolving it? I would be extremely grateful for any input.
Many thanks
