'Add to basket' button is showing for 'Out of Stock' items

Hi

I have changed my options in 'Site Options->Stock' so that it no longer display the stock status for each item. I've noticed however that products that are on zero stock still have their 'Add to basket' button being displayed on both products page and also the category page for that item. This has seemed to work before we started testing the website and now it doesn't seem to work. Everything is showing as in stock.

In 'Business Settings->Options' I have 'Enable Online Stock Control' selected and 'Warn if below' & 'Suspend Orders If below' both set to one.

In 'Site Options->General' I have in the Product section 'Add to Cart Button Layout = Add to Cart Button With Cart Icon'. Maybe it should be use parent?

For now I have set (in Site Options):

'Enable Display of Stock Information' = True

'Real-time Stock Display' = 'Display In Stock Message Only'

This way it at least show that the product is 'Out of Stock' but still shows the cart button on the category and product page. It won't let you purchase any thankfully but before we had proper stock control, we just used to tick the box 'Stock Control/Monitoring' in the product page and it would automatically remove the cart button and display 'Out of Stock' on both the product page & category page.

Maybe I am missing some additional setting?

I seem to recall that the older versions of SellerDeck did have problems in this area. If you do a search you'll probably find a solution - it requires a code fix. I think I looked at this a few years ago.... if I get time I'll take a look too.

Okay thanks I'll give it a try. Where do I find that code to edit it? Can I get to it from within Sellerdeck?

In SellerDeck, go to Design > Library > Conditions

Click on the + sign next to Product.

Right click on IsOutOfStockShown and select Copy (i.e. take a backup)

Then double click on IsOutOfStockShown. Remove the ! as detailed in my post and click OK. Publish and test.

Hmmm. I Can't seem to find the Design tab on my version of SellerDeck. I can see it in the help file but can't locate it in the program. I'll have a play and see if I can find it a bit later.

I guess I'm running a version that doesn't have the design tab. v11.0.6 PIDC

Only has Content & Order tabs. I've noticed there are other version for download though. Shall I install one of those?

Ah! It won't work without the correct license. You'll need to find someone with a Business or Designer version of v11 (I think those are the licenses)
