    Hi there

Right - I've just been doing some testing (with the default Actinic import files) and I can report that the extended information page was correctly created. What this means is there isn't a problem with the import per se - but there may well be a problem when you don't supply all the required data to Actinic, and only correct it afterwards - as this doesn't seem to get the file uploading.

To test further we would really need to see your import files and test it for ourselves. As they are rather large, I suggest you register an email support query at http://www.actinic.co.uk/support/register.htm

      My Fix

My Hierarchical Import (HI) file is created by my own program, therefore I have total control of the contents. I created an HI file with all the field values supplied. Importing this fixes all the existing products (matching Product References) and any new ones.

Unfortunately I don't currently have time to investigate and find the situation that causes the problem. But I would say this is one for the Actinic developers!

On the question of HI files, is there a full specification of all the fields that can be included in an HI file available anywhere? This specification would make it easier to find the cause of this problem.

      Regards Gordon

That woudl eb in Help | Help Topics. If you look in your Site1 folder you will see a folder called common, there are example Hierarchical files in there that you could use.
