Maybe a long shot but the link on the new V8 design for "products" is linking to

      HTML Code:
      http://www.horsewize.co.uk/acatalog/horsewize_products.html
Logically it looks like this link should take you to the catalog top level (i.e. the store home page). This would then mean that your "Online Catalogue" link in your breadcrumb trail should take you to the same page horsewize_products.html, instead of index.html?

      Regarding the old pages either:
      1) Actinic is creating these pages and then uploading them each time (Have you checked your additional files for old pages/images from the old design?)
      2) Actinic is NOT deleting/purging the old design pages from the server when it uploads. You may want to try FTP'ing into your server acatalog area and deleting all HTML files and then attempting another upload - this would confirm if it is indeed actinic that is uploading them or not.
      3) In your default layout for the store is referencing an old design in some strange way - try 1 and 2 first before digging about on no. 3

        Hi Fergus

I changed the Base Page Name in 'Layout' in the 'online catalogue' from index.html to horsewize_products.html and the new design is now pulled in when you click on the 'online catalogue' in the breadcrumb trail...will this change affect how actinic works?

I'd like to have a list of the product sections on the Products page, would you know how i could do this?

        Regarding the old pages either:
        1) Actinic is creating these pages and then uploading them each time (Have you checked your additional files for old pages/images from the old design?)
        2) Actinic is NOT deleting/purging the old design pages from the server when it uploads. You may want to try FTP'ing into your server acatalog area and deleting all HTML files and then attempting another upload - this would confirm if it is indeed actinic that is uploading them or not.
        3) In your default layout for the store is referencing an old design in some strange way - try 1 and 2 first before digging about on no. 3
I have checked and there's no reference to old design in additional files, I have deleted everythinf from SiteHTML and SitePreview Files, I also deleted everything from the server a few times now but actinic always regenerates the old design so i'm thinking No.3 must be the reason

        Many thanks

          Hi Neil,
I have just chceked the actinic store and it appears that changing the Base Page Name in 'layout' has resolved the main issue.
I cannot navigate to the 'old' pages as I could previously by clicking on the
          'online catalogue' link.

In fact the page acatalog/index.html no longer exists which tells me that actinic is no longer uploading this page.

Can you check and tell us if you are still seeing these old pages and where you are seeing them?

            Hi Fergus

By changing the Base Page Name in 'layout' it would appear that actinic has not generated the 'old' pages as before, I logged onto the server and cant see the 'old' html files in there but the index.html page is on the server outside the /acatalog folder...

Can you tell me if actinic will still function correctly if I keep the Base Page Name in 'layout' set to horsewize_products.html as this is a brochure page and not a catalogue page?

            Many thanks

              Neil,

Would be best to rename the base page to 'index.html', It should now generate correctly. I dont think there will be an issue with using the existing page, but anyone typing http : // www. horsewize .co .uk /acatalog / index.html into a browser will get a list of your files and folders. I have spaced out the url above to prevent the forum from displaying a link.

              Kind regards,

                Hi Bruce

This really is driving me crazy now...as soon as I renamed the online catalogues base page to index.html the old design appeared again when the breadcrumb link was clicked...I havent got a clue where the references to the old design are hiding as everything looks fine in actinic...it only appears to happen when the site is live on the server

                Many thanks

                  Hi Neil

I think the best thing to do now, would be to raise a support ticket with Actinic Support, They would need to ask for your snapshot and have a look into it

                  Kind Regards
