Is there a list of what money systems Actinic can use?

go to business settings, payments tab, payment method, +, use the drop down boxto see a full list of payment providers already integrated.

In short if you use a PSP you probably don't need an SSL cert as all processing is done on the providers secure servers.

You need some form of SSL either your own Cert or shared if you are going to manually process Credit cards in house.

If you manually process card yourself you also need to pay good attention to the security of the pc which stores the info as you are responsible for the safe keepig of this sensitive data. (ie don't doenload orders onto a laptop that you consequently leave on a train )

With V8 you can choose to login to Actinic and have the credit card details stored in your database encrypted.

Yes, you switch it on it business settings. You have to login to encrypt and I have to admit that I don't know if it is in all versions or just the higher ones

Just wondering what standard it complies with concerning the DPA and the relevant storage security requirements.

Eek,Mine has gone awol as well - I'm running V8 multiuser ATM.

It should be on settings / business settings / options tab

From the help file :

Enable Login and Card Encryption
As an extra security feature in your Actinic application, you can require people to enter a username and password to enter the store. Also, any credit card details stored in the database will be encrypted.

the upgraded site is on machine 2 Cat version.

Is this option for Business + versions?

I found it on Settings | Business Settings - Options tab, in the upper left area "Allow on this PC". Not where I expected it to be, which was in the payment & security tab. Checkbox is marked "Enable Logon and Card Encryption".

Nice touch, i had not seen this before, I do not need it yet but will be handy to have when i upgrade another site
