Alphabetical Keywords

Dont worry Adrian its important that people post possible bugs so we can get Actinic to sort them out. If it was not a bug then at least you would know to look at your end.

Thats true.

Iniatally I had webceo and web position 4 installed and i thought it could be that! After delting the programs it made no difference! - (I was desperate!)

It is due to the merging of parent section Meta data.

You can turn this sorting off or on.

If you go to Settings / Site Options / Links / Section and set Include Parent Meta Content in Each Section to False, then your meta keywords are unsorted. Set it to True then merging and sorting takes place.

This is not causing the missing tags though as I dont have the include parent selected - odd

This is exactly what I see. Some pages have metas others don't. Changing parent meta data merging makes no difference for me. On the pages that show metas I haven't seen any alphabetic ordering of keywords though.

Personally I have never used the feature to inherit keywords from parent as this offers the ability to create a spammy list of keywords.

I have never used or instrumented this either. However perhaps it kindly did it for us on the upgrade ?!

I never use it either so i dont think that this has triggered anything. It seems to be the 04 upgrade that had done it.

Hmmm - I can see why they think it may be a good idea but they have completely screwed up the whole thing now . They need to put it back to how it was

Im getting context errors on all Ver 04 sites now Why have they been playing with things that dont need changing????
