Link between delivery mode and payment

Hi. Is there a way to create a link between the delivery mode and the payment ?
When clients do not pay by credit card online, they have an extra tax to pay at the delivery. On my site there is a shipping mode for client who pay by card and another one for others clients. So I would like to prevent clients who do not pay online from choosing the shipping mode used by the client who pay online. Is it possible and how ?
    Thanks
    Didier

    Hi,

I'm afraid that you can't have a link between shipping and payment method. All I can suggest is that you use add surcharge to the particular payment method that requires it. To do this, go to 'Marketing | Discounts & Surcharges Settings | Order Level tab'. Create the surcharge and on the 'Restrictions' tab you can set it to a payment method.

Just an information before doing the modification : I suppose that in General tab, I tick Enabled. Then in the triggers zone : Cart value : 1 € (to apply to all orders), amount : 10 € (amount of surcharge) and tick surcharge.
        Can you confirm, please.

          Hi Didier,

Yes that is right and you then need to click on the 'Restrictions' tab and select the 'payment method' that you want this surcharge to apply to.

Just a question : I add 10 euros ex VAT. I would like to apply the normal rate of 19.6%. I don't know where I must change the fitting as it applies reduce rate of 5.5%.

                  Hi,

I have just tried on a default site and the surcharge that I set up was added with the standard 17.5% VAT. Do you have more than one tax rate set up in 'Settings | Business Settings | Tax'?

                      Hi Didier,

It looks like it's working the tax for the surcharge dependent on the tax treatment for the products being added to the cart. I will ask our development team if we can force it to take the standard tax rate.

No for all the product added into the cart, the tax is always the bad one ! 5.5% instead of 19,6%, which is the default tax. It is very surprising that it doesn't take the standard tax !
                        Best regards

                          Hi Didier,

I'm afraid that I can't replicate that. For me it depends on the tax rate set for the products added to cart. I am waiting for a response from our development team to see if we can set the tax rate for the surcharge to be set and I will post back as soon as I get an answer.

                            Hi Tracey. It is very strange. In the orderdetail table I have the following informations : Price 1000, Tax1 : 196, sTax1OpaqueData: 5=0=0=Prorata= (instead of 301=1960=0=TVA (Taux Normal)=), sTax1Code :005 and dTax1Rate :1960.
Where (in what table) is stocked the information for this surcharge ?

                              Hi,

The discount/surcharge information is kept in the 'Discounts' table and the 'nDiscountID' field links to the same field in the 'DiscountTriggers' table and 'DiscountRestrictionList' table.
