I've taken a look at your error log and can't see any problems regarding the SMTP server, however, I was wondering if you could set up a product that doesn't have a digital download option on it and possibly put in another payment method for me to test, for example 'credit card details sent separately', (I want to make sure that the emails are sent out normally).
One other thing I have noticed is that your cgi-bin url is http://spokenbooks.co.uk (without the 'www') and this can cause problems when going through the site with the 'www' in. You can change this in 'Web | Network Settings' - make sure that all urls are consistent (probably best to have the 'www' in them).

Hi Tracey,
I've followed the advice given, and set the ebook "Wuthering Heights" as a non downloadable product.
I have put in a payment method as you suggested.
I've adjusted the web/ network settings to be consistent www.
Let's hope this sheds some light, many thanks,

I placed a test order this morning and still haven't received the email. I have to say that the 'Wuthering Heights' product still seemed to have a digital download on it as I got the link on the receipt. There doesn't seem to be any errors in the error log to do with the SMTP server.
First of all can you just check that you have the option switched on in 'Settings | Business Settings | Ordering tab' to send emails to customers.
If so, then can you check with your host what is happening to the emails. If you download my order you can see what time I placed it and you can ask your host to check what happened to the email at that should have been sent at that time.
