Is there such a thing as an annual convention or occasional get-togethers for mutual 'trouble sharing/halving' etc and liberal exchanges of ideas etc ?

There were several last year on a regional basis, including one where Chris Barling himself showed.
May be best to add to a thread which part of the country you are in and see if others are interested in meeting up. -
That a good idea, I have never really noticed that this forum does not have a loacation setting.
Chris D is this an option that can be turned on in the forum settings or is it there an i have missed it.
I would be happy to meet up with a few people i have helped and been helped by, it would be nice i have to know who is on the end of a keyboard occassionaly.

me too :-) back in blighty now though so can't add to the international feel of this thread.
We did try to organise a meeting in Devon last year but didn't quite get there, have to try again this year, perhaps in the summer.

make sure its in the summer, then I can drive my 70yr old tourer to the meeting - I tried it in the winter - too damned cold for my liking - miss those extras like windows, roof, heating, reliabilityComment
