Yes, it's when the results page shows.

Sorry to ask, but where do I find the onload statement. Is it in the "Search Results Page Bulk Area" Layout that I use?

Sorry, not onload but focus.

Look in that layout yes, for:

document.forms[nIndex].SS.focus();

Simply remove that entire line so leaves a { above and a } below and that should do it.

Fragments on catalog pages can be included in the search, in 'Settings | Search Settings' under 'Indexing Options' you need to select 'Index Page Fragments'.
