First website using Actinic - Critique please

Hi Guys

Although I have been developing ecommerce websites for some time now, this is my first Actinic ecommerce website at http://212.106.97.187 although not live yet it could be quite soon.

This website will replace the current http://www.ultimastore.co.uk website which is not Actinic based. I have read this forum on sites using Actinic and would like to know where this site is placed with regard to a site1, site2 etc and any comments, observations people have.

Obviously I have a lot to learn and have found it not easy to adapt to Actinic but that is most likely down to my learning curve.

In addition, your original layout was easier for me to read (getting old you know ;-))

To give an accurate critique, we would need more data, such as who is your main target etc

Overall, it is a functional store. Good luck with it.

extremely functional and a little dull.

As the others have said its abit pointless to reveiw a site using an out of the box design.

Gives me the answer that it is a site1 design. I did have a particular brief for this website which I have fulfilled.

That's a very good point, but I didn't wanted it EXACTLY the same as that would be plagerism! I have not finished as I still need to do the top menu etc, but that is in the future. it is based on their website but mostly on their functional features.

I don't like either of them but would choose old site if i had to. New site is just plain dull and boring to my eyes. That 'back' button all over the place is annoying and just adds to what already looks like a busy page.
