oops...undoing a font colour change in appearance

      For future reference.... when you want to undo a colour change on a variable, after having given it a colour usning 'Edit Appearance'. On the layout tab click on the first button you see '><' which is 'Switch between basic and advanced views' this will enable you to see the color assigned to the variable in the code so you can remove it, click on apply and revert view. You can then check in 'Edit Appearance' and see that it has a blank value now.

      That's what i was trying to explain, knew i'd done it crap.

      I reckon there are quite a few users/designers who do not know about this expand the code button, its very helpful.

        I've used it a couple of times.. I had to use it for some reason yesterday (although I can't recall what!)
        Didn't occur to me that the variable's properties must be in there though and that I could remove it that way..
        (my excuse is that it was late )
