    That's probably cos you want to be in the design library to do that.

        I think I'm seeing some light here.

        You are wanting to put the best sellers list etc on your acatalog index page not your brochure homepage - is that right?

        If so then:
        Go to the acatalog home page in the Contenty Tree (Dollar Bills icon)
        Click on the Design View tab
        Scroll down to the end of the layout code and add this to the very bottom:
        Code:
        <actinic:block if="%28%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22BestSellerListLocation%22%20%2f%3e%20%3d%3d%20%22Home%20Page%20Only%22%29%20OR%20%28%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22BestSellerListLocation%22%20%2f%3e%20%3d%3d%20%22Both%20Sidebar%20and%20Home%20Page%22%29" >
           <actinic:variable value="Home Page Best Sellers List" name="BestSellersList" />
        </actinic:block>

        <actinic:block if="%28%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22NewProductsListLocation%22%20%2f%3e%20%3d%3d%20%22Home%20Page%20Only%22%29%20OR%20%28%3cactinic%3avariable%20name%3d%22NewProductsListLocation%22%20%2f%3e%20%3d%3d%20%22Both%20Sidebar%20and%20Home%20Page%22%29">
        	<actinic:variable name="NewProductsList" value="Home Page New Products List" />
        </actinic:block>
        This will then put the Best Sellers and New Products on every catalog page.

        Is this a step in the right direction?

        Next thing is, do you only want them on the acatalog main page and not on every page?

        Most people use a brochure page as the homepage and put the Best sellers etc on there - you are using your own homepage. I would consider changing that so it's all managed within Actinic - it will make life a lot simpler.

        You can add all your existing content into brochure pages in a much easier way using fragments in Actinic instead of coding them seperately.

                from dotted lines to solid border with backround

                How would I change the dotted blue lines to a solid border and fill in the bax with a backround in the mini best sellers/new products lists?

                TIA
                Thanks!!

                  you will find the classes for CSS in ActinicStyleSheet

                    In Design View - select Actinic Stylesheet and find :
                    .dotted_outline_blue {
                    border: 1px dotted <actinic:variable name="Palette2" />;
                    padding: 8px;
                    }

                    You can modify that to suit or preferably make your own class and modify the List Layout Settings of the Home Page Best Sellers List (and of course similarly for New Products) to use that new class instead.

                    If this is new to you then I think a bit of reading about css will help your understanding.
