Only showing some of the new products

Ok, I'm playing with your idea Lee, but i can't remove the words "click here to edit List layouts" all I can do is remove all the table code with in list layout?

Just placing <div> if block, listindex <=6 etc </div> doesn't give me pretty boxes - you don't mean I have to write css to make it line up in a nice grid do you.

The orange link to the layout list can not be removed.. this is what creates the actual list and repeats itself for as many products / sub-sections etc are in that are in that section.

You can remove all the table code from the layout list and replace with css and that prevents the tabled layouts giving you these issues when splitting lists.

Sorry Jo, when i said remove it, i meant the code within it, not the actual layout as that has to remain. My bad wording.

You cant pull the legs off a spider and expect it to walk the same

You need to create a new class around the containing <div> set a width (possibly) and set to float left.

You will also need a <br /> as the end cell in the list layout and / or a clearing <div> to force the layout to work in IE6

couple of Qs

where do i set the new products layout for brochure home page. I've attached site options which uses my new layout for the new products page, but i can't see where to set the brochure to the same layout?

not sure where I should have put the <br/> jont mentioned, its in list layout, overal ldesign tab, end of list. Should i change "edit rows and columns" - first, middle last, middle from 3 to anything?

Brochure layout is defined in site options under it's own heading called 'Brochure'. On the layout tab, scroll down, you'll see it. You can also set it within the layout tab of the page itself to override the global setting.
