I don't know. I'm not entirely sure that I've seen a "confession" and believe me I've read pretty much every duplicate thread on the forums over the last few days!

They've all been pretty quiet on that front since HFUA was released...and so has the forum..which is why I thought it must be something different.
The only person who appeared to be still having problems despite using the "fixed" release, was Malc...and he wasn't here to ask

And no one from Actinic has cared to comment on the thread yet probably because it's too new

If they'd just bothered to step in and say that it's possible that even the HFUA release could have left lingering ProductReferences...I'd have checked for them all sooner.

Anyway, not going to turn this into a rant.. I might actually go to bed now!

I thought you said the other day that you was going to redesign your store now and was looking for inspiration? That site is now live btw.
I'll leave the war to the more experienced fighters...I'm more of a battle-axe than a warrior

As for the re-design...I am thinking about re-designing BB, yes..but not myself. I'm not even close to knowing how! I've just been looking for design tidbits...things I like etc so I can build up a picture of what I might ask for.

      If that makes sense?!

I think Norman nicely summed up the whole duplicate prod ref/prod ID debacle in this thread.

It also has some input from Mr ChrisD on this issue as well.

A focused client who knows what she wants, sounds like a dream not a reality lol. BUT yes that is a very good method, one of the hardest things as a designer is interpreting a clients wishes into something real. The more ideas they throw the better.

By the time you do it, you'll be ready to take it on yourself anyway or V9 will be imminent. Can't be too long now me thinks. You reckon the silence of late and pastures new is just coincidence?

Just rumours btw, but it'd be nice to have a rumour about something positive (if it turns out to be), at least the V9 forum will be the best yet. Hopefully it can be kept inline from the very start and eradicate the need for duplication across 4 different mediums.

damn Fergus, I must have missed that thread in the zillion searches I've done lately!

I suppose because it drifted INTO the ProductReference/ProductID topic rather than starting on it...if you know what I mean?

              Surprised I didn't read it anyway though...wish I had!

oh well..nice to know it's not just me with HFUA and unfixed layouts anyway
              Cheers

Glad you got to the bottom of it regardless.
                Well done.

OK, i read about 10 bloody threads and missed it too, i checked all the bloody product and page layouts from a thread i found from Bruce and they were all correct.

Add to cart layout........................... i never looked in here. Well it's one for the memory banks. Tracy you saved me a embarrasing conversation with support

Go Tracy Go Tracy Go Tracy, "we are not worthy"

Unfortunately this isn't the problem in my case, all my add to cart layouts use ProductID and the components function correctly when using drop down lists. They only pack up when I switch to push button grid.

you probably passed it over as you couldn't get your head around me and Malc having a meaningful (and helpful) conversation with those who were smart enough to hang around and listen

well no...not at all! (not quite sure how to take that)

I'm not sure why I didn't read the whole thread (because I *did* see it) but I suspect that, having read the first few posts, I'd decided it wasn't the same problem I was having..the ProductReference/ProductID topic didn't appear until halfway through the thread and I obviously didn't get that far

Note for next time....read WHOLE threads even if they don't seem relevent! Damn, I'd still be reading them now
