I think they've learnt some very valuable lessons this year bumpsy, they now communicate and are more honest than ever before. I think (because of the past 12-14 months) this is a do or die year and this next version of the software could make or break.

Dont understand the do or die part Lee
As a simple customer the present setup meets all my criteria for my sites.
Yes there is always slightly better things we would all like, but with the massivly improved marketing section this year, I am happy, but then I dont use complicated shipping or stock control
It will be interesting if they have two options, one online database and the second as present systemChris Ashdown

I like the (12 months old) V8 now and it has moved their software up to the next level IMO. Unfortunately the infrastructure did not move up to the next level with it and it is trying to now catch up. There has been some real shockers this year and i honestly think that these problems will have taught them that their old fashioned methods of doing things are no longer any good. They are moving towards being an open, honest, modern and moving forward company at all levels now and in 12 months time if they get it right, i think their software will be something special, at the moment it is just 'good'.
Get the next 12 months wrong and they will be on the scrapheap IMO, the internet is moving at an alarming rate, they gotta keep up or there will be no race to run.
