contact Actinic support as they tend to be quite good at restoring corrupt DBs

I am fairly certain this is because something else has the database open.
if you play with PHP and there's a mistake in the code (for whatever reason), then you risk leaving the actinic database in an unknown position.

undo the patch you put in, make sure you haven't got actinic open ANYWHERE else and then try the backup again.

For everyone else who is as daft as me (and for me when I do it again as I do it every 3 months or so!) - if you have one stop order processing open you can't snap shot! It creates this error.
