grrrrrrr...these 8.5.3 bugs are doing my nut now!
Just received my first 'offline' order in 8.5.3.
Checked all stock levels in Actinic beforehand (customer tend to call when they can't buy something online and I often find out it's because they were getting an 'out of stock' message which somehow they think doesn't apply if they ring!)
anyhow... checked stock levels on 2 items before processing the order.
Item 1 - stock level 4
Item 2 - stock level 2
No probs. customer only wanted one of each.
Processed the order offline, as usual, and got a 'suspend level' stock warning which I shouldn't have (all suspend levels are for when stock reaches zero)
Alarm bells ring!
Checked the stock levels of both items to see which was flagged up and the stock levels were as follows:
Item 1 - stock level 2
Item 2 - stock level 0
Now, I did EXACTLY the same procedure for these orders as I ALWAYS have done.
When I received the order I had put through Protx as the payment method because it enables me to NOT have to enter card details, dummy or otherwise, into Actinic.
This dropped it into the PSP Pending tab which, since upgrading to 8.5.3 and disabling the stock monitoring for orders in this tab, did not (or should not have) change the stock levels (I didn't check at this point..I will when I test again later)
Then I opened the order and changed payment method to 'phone/fax with card details etc' which it allows me to do without entering any details and shifted it to the 'pending' tab and should have adjusted the stock at this point (it is at this point I got the stock suspend level message)
Except, somewhere along the line, it'd depleted DOUBLE the stock.
I'll experiment later with various settings and checking levels to see if I can pinpoint what is causing it but, yet again, I just wanted to give a heads up to anyone else on 8.5.3 who might be using stock 'control' and processing offline orders.
