Ask for telephone number at checkout

Hi,

I hope someone can help. I need to ask customers for their telephone number at checkout. I think Actinic came with that facility but I removed it. That rings a bell. Anyway, I need to put it back but I can't remember how I even remove it in order to put it back again

Can anyone help me please?

One way would be this:

Design -> Library -> Layouts -> Checkout area -> Invoice Address Field

Right click and revert to factory settings.

Ohhh OK... but I am scared. What else will it revert??? I don't want anything else to change... just the phone number question field to be added.

Reinstall Actinic?

I don't understand. My mother board conked out a few months ago and my hard drive was not recovered so I re-installed everything from scratch, including Actinic. I used my saved Actinic files of course so all was well. But my point is that the telephone number field did not reappear so why would it now?

Check in Design View that your layout looks like the attached.

Can you not simply restore the layout in the libary

Here's one way:

Backup!
Go to the Design Library and on the Layouts tab expand 'Checkout Area'.
Under 'Checkout Area' locate 'Invoice Address Fields' and right click on it.
Select to Revert to Factory Settings.
Close and go back and look at your 'Checkout Page 1' in Design View and you should see the layout now including the telephone box.

EDIT - I didn't notice that it was mentioned earlier. Don't worry about it messing up - if you create a snapshot first you can revert back later if you want.
