Upgrade your network to gigabit ethernet, won't harm to add a managed hub either. We upgraded all pc's with same intel gigabit cards and saw a real increase in performance. We have since upgraded all machines to at least dual core (1 quad core extreme) with 3gb of ram. Actinic v9.03 opens 30 seconds faster than v9.02 at 4mins 30sec.

Sorry delay (NEWBIE) I only just noticed this thread today.

I have 2 latest Laptops running Vista -simple network on wireless LAN via Linskys Router - using business plus v9.02 that's it really.

The only problem with an open mind is people keep trying to fill it!

          Hey All

          Just for info

Just upgraded to gigabit switch and gigabit lan cards in all four pcs running ver 9 business plus multi user - and it made a huge difference to running speed and database access speeds.

Defiantly worth the cost upgrading if you're struggling with network speed issues in actinic multi user.

            Greying out issue

Just a note to advise that I got to the bottom of the issue my client was having with the details pane "greying out".

I could never replicate it (locally or connecting remotely to his PC) so I went down to his office and noticed he was user a lower case 'a' for his username (administrator vs. Administrator).

Using a lowercase a would log him into Actinic but he was then not able to select any section, product etc as the details pane would grey out.

            Crazy.
