I've never even looked at it, but what is the problem?

- unavailability of data?
- perl?
- security?
- encryption?

is there anyone in the towers that can give me a little breakdown?

google has imposed some pretty daft rules on this, and its slowing integration.

I'm sure some clever perl type could tweek the PayPal Express Checkout script so that it worked with GC instead.

We have been here before - this time last year to be precise. There is a post detailing how to integrate gc and a couple of example sites running gc so it is possible with a little work if you want to do it.

True, but there's no true integration posted which skips the Actinic Checkout and can calculate shipping within GC etc. GC require that the shopper is passed straight to them from the basket rather than subjected to a 3 page checkout proceedure first.
