    Ooops, Messed up an order

I somehow seem to have messed up an order by deleting an item.

I inadvertantly closed the box down after cancelling the item and applying.
Now that I process the rest of the order, actinic does not seem to accept that the item has been cancelled and shows an item not shipped.

This means that the order still sits in pending despite all the uncancelled items being shipped, full payment and invoiced.

How can I get this into completed orders?
    Graham

    Hi there

Could you check a couple of things?

Firstly, what is the payment status? Is it 'Full Payment Received' or 'Excessive Payment Received'. If it's the latter, you'll need to create a 'Credit Card Credit' in the 'Progress and Payments > View Payments' window in order to make the payments add up.

Also, what is the % Shipped set as in the 'Progress and Pending' tab? If it is more than 100% that's a bug in v9 (due to be fixed shortly) and I can give you a database fix to sort it out.

      Hi Chris,

It is marked as full payment received and the total adds up to the correct amount.(does not include the deleted item)

There was originally 3 items, one of which is deleted.
Items shipped shows 67% with 33% pending.

On the Line items tab, the deleted item has the "no entry" sign over its checkbox and Qty 1 showing in No Cancelled. It also shows a total price of £0

        that 33% shouldn't say 'pending'
I would have expected it to say 'cancelled' if it had been
It could be a manifestation of the known bug but it might be an idea to log a support request and send a snapshot just to check.

I have resurected this thread as I have as yet had no joy from support.

I see that this is addressed in 9.03 to hopefully prevent future occurences.

Whilst this is good news, it does not sort out the order I have sat in pending.

Now the month has passed, I need to know where this order stands so that I can print an accurate end of month report. If it sits there thinking it is not fully shipped, it will not be included.

            Any clues?
            Graham

You could always try un-cancelling the item, closing the window and then re-doing the cancel. If that doesn't work you might try compacting the database between these steps.

If all fails, right click and export the order. That should force it into the completed state.

Do you have back ordering enabled?

We've had the odd order thats problematic like this I think we got round it by rightclicking and re-export to files (or something like that).

                  Brilliant Mike,

It did the trick with a compaction between the changes.

                  Thanks

This still seems to be happening.

                    I had part of an order returned for credit so;

                    1. Cancelled the item(1 of 3 lines) from the previously completed order.
                    2. Apply.
                    3. Open payments and credit back the overpayment.
                    4.OK

                    Order is now back in pending showing the following;

                    Full Pay
                    Printed
                    Lines Ordered - 3
                    % Shipped - 67
                    % Cancelled - 0
                    % Back order - 0

If I generate a report I am told that this order has not been fully shipped and will not be included in the report.

I have tried the undelete/compact/re-delete from above but no joy.

I get the same, Graham, in 903 also.
Hopefully it will be REALLY fixed in 904
