          Hi Lee,

          No i havent read it....

However, the real reason why i signed up with them in the first place was because they have a support phone number. I hate email support....

Also, all there servers are based in the UK with UK ip addresses.

It's not an isolated event, it's been around for a very very very long time. Using their service was just waiting for the horse to bolt, now you're trying to catch it.

Personally, i'd rather a server based on planet Zoid that worked. UK based is good if you can find a suitable actinic specialist based in the UK I agree. Sadly you just got the UK based part right.

See my posts on the other thread - that is a Fasthosts issue - think yourself lucky, you could have lost the orders ....

                    Oh well,

I'll have more happy customers tomorrow saying why they haven't received there goods.

When this has happened before it took me 3 weeks to realise that orders were sat in the pending payment service provider view were cleared orders. However, the main difference this time is im getting this server response message.

Computers - don't you love em...

Well it is possible and has been done, personnally its fun for testing and understanding but there is so much to look at though, security problems e.t.c and dont forget, what happens when you get alot of people trying to access your site at once.

I take it you ment pipe as in big fat pipe as in internet connection, although 8mb aint 8mb and upload is not more than 500k best on bt unless you have sdsl

I used to have my website with a hosting company that was based in TEXAS. Did me no favours with the SE's when trying to get it to score in the UK.

Im currently on the first page of google under the keyword motorcycle parts which is where im planning to stay .

So do i or dont I

Im on cable so the bandwidth isnt an issue.

                          Its just the cost....

No I think your right, running you own web server is fun but
                          not worth the hassel

                            Hi guys,

I renamed this thread to avoid it giving a wrong impression, now more information has come to light.

                              smart move chris

Im on cable so the bandwidth isnt an issue
unlimited bandwidth might not be an issue but its the speed of data transfer, most hosting companies servers sit on 10Gbps connections, but then they house thousands of sites
