who was the host, you said it was not fasthost?

Oh and white text on a yellow background for the country selection really does not work

v8 ran fine on before the upgrade to v9.

what makes me worried that actinic isnt working as it should is that the url above has
        ACTINIC_REFERRER=
        param appearing twice.

my server admin says theres no cpu spiking when the "checkout now" link is clicked..

filemon says its looking for as002009.pmc..

first it looks in perl\bin... a couple of times
          wwwroot.. a couple of times
and eventually finds it in cgi-bin

no idea how to fix this

          i wish i was a coder =/

I certainly agree with changing the script ID and then doing a purge and refresh.

sorry, i wasnt ignoring youse, changing script id and refreshing didnt make a difference. the other issue (path to asxxxx.pmc) became my main focus (not that ive solved it btw!)

by-passing the "cart buttons" seems to speed things up a lot, so now im just confused.

                      and your host is onesmarthost?

However it seems to me as though you need to revert your checkout pages back to the default

hi, yeah, wellgosh has been running actinic since v4 on OSH, and only since the upgrade has the cart hung.

i'll try 'Revert to factory settings' on the cart layouts and report back, cheers!

no difference reverting the cart buttons to factory settings, the only customisation i'd done was adding a css class to each, so thats no surprise i guess.

what ive done is overwritten the 'checkout now' button with a link to /cgi-bin/osxxxxxx.pl?ACTION=START and it works much faster... maybe i should do the same for the save/retrieve/update buttons..

How about a basic test that may narrow down the issues.
If you have Business Plus you can license a new default site and upload it to a subdomain and test to see if it has issues. If you only have a single license then you can install Actinic on another PC and try a default site on a subdomain. That would at least eliminate the server side or not.

                              OK

Lets take a step back here as i have lost the have and have not dones

                              1) have you changed the script id and done a full site refresh.
                              2) you have made sure GA is turned off
                              3) you have reverted the checkout pages to factory default (not buttons and links)

                                cheers darren

so, yeah, ive done those things. plus ive had the server trace the process of clicking that 'checkout now' button - which reported that was a path error to asxxxxxxx.pmc - the routine eventually finds it in the cgi-bin, which i guess is where the page load hang is at.

as this is on a live site, ive patched it over with a direct link to cgi-bin/osxxxxxx.pl?action=start and it *seems* to be ok, orders are coming through now, whereas with the full hang - orders dropped out to almost none.

the thing i'd like to try is turning off ssl, but i cant really.

we switch to actinic payments as soon as i find a neat way to skin our payment screens, at which point i'll reinvestigate i'll try again.

                                thanks for your help

                                regards
