    Actinic to Sage Link changing previous invoices.

    Hi,
    We have just got Actinic to Sage Link working and it is doing some very strange and seriously worrying things. Every time we export orders into Sage it has created the customer account and invoice fine but it has also changed previous invoices. It puts product lines from the order we are downloading onto other invoices, obviously making them wrong (although the invoice amount remains correct).

    It is doing this even if we export orders one at a time and if all previous orders have been posted on the Sage system. We now have several orders that are wrong and, as they have been posted before this happened, cannot be changed or deleted, causing us all kinds of accounting and stock control headaches. We have stopped using Sage Link until we get this sorted. Link was the main reason we bought Actinic Business and we are gutted that it is not working.

    We have Actinic Business V9.0.2 and the latest version of Link, downloaded from the Actinic site. We have Sage 50 Accounts Professional 2008. We have been using Sage for almost 2 years and this only started happening the day we started using Link.

    I've found this issue reported before and it seems that there was a Hotfix provided by Sage to fix it:

    "Important Note: This update replaces the Sage 50 Accounts 2008 SDO
    HotFix that was released on 12 October 2007. We recommend all of our
    customers to install this HotFix at the earliest opportunity.

    The SDO HotFix addresses an issue that causes the item lines changing
    on invoices, credits, quotes or orders to change after they have been
    saved.
    This issue only affects invoices, credits, quotes or orders that are
    created by Sage Data Objects (SDO) and not those that are created within
    Sage 50 Accounts 2008."

    Link uses SDO so this could be the reason. You may have to log in to the Sage website to be able to get this fix.

          I've also installed this patch (latest version) and had it since day 1. SDO continues to corrupt old invoices and completely changes the order lines of posted invoices months after they have been processed. It doesn't affect stock levels and the actual order is correct in the ledger but the invocie becomes impossible to print and the orderlines as displayed are completely random. Is this an issue with Sage Link or Sage itself?

            It is an issue with Sage, not with Link to the best of my knowledge. I would suggest raising a support issue on this one as we will have to investigate it to find the cause of this happening. So far the hotfix has sorted the problem for other users.
