Facility already exists, go into design|text and switch it on.

Ah sorry you are V8, there's a good reason for you to upgrade, if not, rename a field that is not being used like fax number or something.

V8 to V9 should not be a problem, but this really depends on how much modification you have done.
But you can install v9 alongside v8 so can import a snapshot and check everything is working 1st

Download the free trial and try it out, V8 can run alongside V9 as a standalone application.
