We're always cautious about committing to bug fixes, each report goes into the pot and we prioritise fixes in each release according to a number of factors - including how severe the bug is, how likely it is to occur, how many people have reported it and whether there is a workaround.
I will certainly push for this one to be fixed soon, I just can't promise when.
In future we are considering bringing out more frequent releases with fewer fixes in each, though we haven't finally decided about that. The benefits would be that some fixes could be released sooner, and each release would carry less risk. The disadvantages are, some users don't like many frequent releases; plus there is a fixed overhead to each release because each has to be built, documented, tested etc., so it could mean slightly fewer bugs fixed overall in the long term.
