hmmm upgraded sites, you end up with a 1000 and 1 layouts like the attached image.

If anyone can tell me the best way to clear all this old crap out i would appreciate it

does seem to be an unsolvable bug... do you think upgrading to 9.0.4 would help? or do you think i should get them working on 9.0.3 before moving on? I've been a bit of a hermit doing the new BRG site so was just reading the 9.0.4 changes... seems to have a good few fixes.

hopefully today i will be upgrading the site that gives the same blank error, i cant promise but i hope to get it done.

This may seem a little drastic but, as a temporary measure until the bug is fixed, what about running a Windows script to kill the Catalog.exe process after the Mole End order processing has finished (using the 'Run program after processing orders' option in Batch Order Processing)?

I have been getting the same error message sometimes when exiting Actinic Business (v 9.0.3). I upgraded to v9.0.4 last night without any apparent problems but have just seen the error message again so upgrading doesn't seem to be a fix.

just FTR, I get this too in Designer 9.0.3.
I also have .DMP files/crashes when switching sites from the affected site.

We are just trying out the windows script suggestion as a temporay fix. The box kept coming up last night everytime an order was downloaded - just as well we can VNC from my iphone tis turning out to be very handy!

I think all you need is

taskkill /F /IM Catalog.exe

Quite a few people have reported this problem to us now - it is caused by a random error that occurs in Actinic as it is closed down (the title of the error box proves the cause).

We have a little program called Task Killer that can be used to close down the accounting link programs and because of this error, we have enhanced it to also kill Actinic but only when our own programs are not controlling Actinic (to cater for slow uploads/downloads).

FTR Works manually but can't get this to work through the mole-end order processing option... a DOS screen flashes up so fast we can't read what it says. We think the mole-end program is looking for a specific file type...

Anyway, thanks Jan for letting me know. I've now e-mailed mole-end again so hopefully someone will be in touch soon about the Task Kill...

Ahhh... Task Kill will be available as a beta in the morning - I did wonder why no one mentioned it before... well hopefully it will be in place for the weekend.

The error box still persists but MoleEnd do now have a fix to run a Task Kill program

I have now fixed the Task Scheduler. If you pause the scheduler in automation it will also pause the task killer.

Well I've just sat and watched the box appear and then disappear! I'm so happy!

I did try and run a script through the Run Program feature in OneStop Automation and it did work when the test button was pressed but did not kick in with the automation was set on.

Hopefully actinic can solve the issue in the long run but the mole end fix is working in the short term. phew.

Thanks for working through that mod for us, our original design needed some tweaking and your help with that made it so much easier and quicker to resolve.
