Now i don't know if this is me or something else, but just recently we have been getting alot of errors in Actinic aswell as browsing our site in FF & IE8. I've just noticed recently that images aren't loading at all on some pages and only half of the images are loading and then pages are apparently 'Not found', click refresh and the page appears!? It's giving me the feeling that our site is unstable and not working correctly.
The errors in Actinic are cgi-bin error and when i try to download orders i get a message tell me a certain .pl file in the cgi-bin folder is not there... press 'try again' a couple of times and it eventually finds it. It's not as if they've been removed from the server!?
My only explanation that i can come up with is that we have a zoomify function on our website, which means we convert a high res image into a zoomify folder and upload it to the site manually to the following folder ...acatalog/zoomify/ folder name is linked to the product code. Now we've been slowly adding these folders into the acatalog/zoomify folder for sometime and have about 335 folders inside could this be slowing down the site in some way? or would it be better moving the zoomify folder our of the acatalog folder?... or should we look into hosting the hi res zoomify files on a different server altogether!?
If you could have a brouse around our site and see it you get any of the browser issue i've been experiencing or anything that's i havn't seen myself that could be of use please let me know. As for zoomify, i could be taking a long stab in the dark at that being the problem, but it's the only thing i can think of atm. Anyway i've babbled enough for now. Let us know what you guys think.
