Have just moved our shop from V7 to V9 and the upload time is now much longer, with most of the time being spent on checking the HTML files. Exporting a snapshot is also slow. I'm still using V7 for another site on my machine and that is uploading/backing up quite quickly so its not the computer speed. Is anyone else finding V9 slow?

Well I've been in touch with Actinic support and was given lots of tips to try, which I have implemented but still the upload time for V9 on both mine and the shop's computer is painfully slow - so much so that we're thinking of scrapping V9 and going back to V7.
The main problem in the upload sequence is the checking of the HTML pages (of which there are currently 784). These haven't changed from our V7 site but the checking sequence on upload is about 5 times slower than it was with V7. Taking a snapshot with V9 is also incredibly slow - at least 5 times slower again.

I was given the following links by Actinic support to follow, which I did:

I've just done a site upload (with no changes) and it took 14 minutes - most of the time was taken up by Checking HTML. In V7 it used to take us about 2 minutes to upload the same amount of pages.Dave

V4 was much faster than V7 but as you add complexity, the product slows down. It's not ideal unfortunately.Jan Strassen, Mole End Software - Plugins and Reports for Actinic V4 to V11, Sellerdeck V11 to V2018, Sellerdeck Cloud
