Only thing I can think of it is something to do with how the data is passed through Sagepay and to the receipt page.

Everything worked perfectly well in v9.03 but not in V9.05 contacted to support and said they did not support the analytics part of the software.

    REgards,

    Nigel

The GA code is part of the default v9 installation they designed. They should support that surely?

Have you modified the checkout button on the brochure/product pages? There should be a GA layout inside that link.. this can often get lost if changing nav bar style or inserting your own links / buttons.

        Hello,

        Actinic please note

        --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Actinic - can you look into this as it is not an isolated incident.
This is actually working as designed.

We removed the code due to problems with GA and split SSL.

All tracking has been removed from:

        Google Analytics Form Tag
        Google Analytics Checkout Link
Google Analytics Tracking Code Split SSL

We kept the layouts as they are in case we need to add code back in later.

        We fixed Nigel’s problem.

There was a mandatory GA related selector is missing from the layout “Cart Product Details” Layout.

Design | Library | Layouts | Shopping Cart Product Details

Open “Cart Product Details”. At the top you should have:

        <actinic:variable name="GoogleAnalyticsMarkup" value="Google Analytics Item Details" />
        Regards,

        Toby Blanchard

          Hi Toby,

Can you please explain the impact of this so we can all know what's supposed to work and what doesn't work anymore.

The only reference I can find to this in the release notes might be this for 9.0.3

Upgraded checkout links now work correctly with Google Analytics in Split SSL mode. AC9-1214
          Thanks

          Mike

            Hi Mike,

This change was for a bug where if you used split SSL and Google Analytics the checkout link wouldn’t work. From what I can gather the code in these layouts were causing problems with split SSL. We re-worked the code in the other GA layouts so these weren’t needed any more.

GA Ecommerce Tracking will only work if your secure and non secure pages use the same domain name.

Does this clear things up a bit or need info on anything else?
            Regards,

            Toby Blanchard

              No, that's fine. Thanks Toby.

Looking at the thread it looked as if people were saying it didn't work anymore and I read your reply as saying that's the way it is now because Actinic removed some stuff.

              This explains it for me:

We re-worked the code in the other GA layouts so these weren’t needed any more.
