Company name disappears after looking up + selecting the address from potcode

That's what I think it might be Tracey and with regard to the initial issue, I can't comment on the offline lookup but for the online one, you could unmap the company name in your postcode anywhere settings and then ask them for the name. I personally don't think that the address data for companies is that reliable, when I do lookups it is quite often wrong or missing.

What I do is lookup the address and then ask for the company name, if you put the name in first, and company is mapped in your postcode anywhere settings and the address doesn't have one, then the one you typed in will be overwritten.

Andy, development and me have tried the information you gave and its working fine....... we tried it on both IE8 and FF 3, what browser did you use?

I am running IE8. Please confirm, have you tested it on my live website www.knexusergroup.org.uk? If it works OK for you on that site, but not for me here, then I guess it must be a problem that only affects certain PCs - perhaps cookie-related?

I have just tested the post code you mentioned on your site and can confirm I get the problem you reported.
I also found the company name field disappeared if the page refreshed due to missing data such as 'Title (Mr/Mrs/etc):'

Yes I tried it on your website and this is what i did

1. On the check out page entered title, first name, last name.
2. Entered post code "NG18 5BH", "Click to find" brings up West Nottinghamshire... choosing that populates all the other fields. So no issues here.
3. Purpously left out phone number and email clicked next, error reported, but all fields still populated... soo that works fine too....

Can you confirm you're doing the same or anything different.

Company name going missing

We appear to have now finally resolved this problem on our website. It was not in fact caused by postcode lookup, but by a missing " in the layout for the company name.
