when I upload my site content will it be placed in the acatalog directory or the web root? I see a test file ActinicWebSiteTest.html has been uploaded to the web root, is this correct?

    Regards

Switch to Test mode and play around with that for a while.

        Hi

Thanks for pointing test mode out, im going to have a play around so I can figure what is happening with each of the files.

I will let you know when I have Actinic live on my web site, should be in the next couple of days.

        Thanks again

Actinic only writes a single home page file into the root of your server (everything else lives inside a sub-directory called acatalog). The default home page filename is index.html and you won't want to use that if you already have a live site there.

It's easy to change the home page filename by clicking on the "Home" (little house icon) in the Content Tree, selecting the Page Settings tab and changing the Page Filename entry.

Now you can upload a standard actinic site without clobbering your existing home page.
