Retrieve Orders from multiple sites

Hi,

I was just wondering if anyone knew of a way that you can download orders from 10 different sites at the same time.

We have contacted actinic and have a few ideas the best one so far is to set up actinic to read from a local network when it retrieves orders then download all of the .occ and .ord files from the ftp for each site we have and place them inside the acatalog on the local network.

the issues I am facing with this method are setting the file permissions on the .occ and .ord files as they are all locked down and stopping me from downloading them.

Site at a time

We download orders from two sites but not simultaneously. We use Mole End One Stop Automation with our main site to download orders automatically, update the maximum number that can be ordered of a product (to match number in stock) and to upload. We pause this, change Actinic to the other site (File: Sites etc), and then download orders etc. We then reactive Mole end and continue.

We are using Actinic Link to export orders from both sites into the same Sage 50, but have to open the Link software to select the relevant site when changing between sites.

As the second site has fewer orders that we download less often, we haven't had a particular need to do the process similtaneously. As said previously, Jan at Mole End may help.

Jan did get back to me an suggested One Stop Automation For Actinic however this was not what we are looking for as we want it downloading into the same database. also The idea that actinic suggested does not seem to work.

As far as im aware you can not download two websites into one database, if you want to do something like this your need to use sage and export both sites orders into sage.

Yes. I have checked my Mole End One Stop Automation and you can download from two websites simultaneously, but not into the same database. To do that you need to export the orders, as we do into one Sage. So they end up all in the same database.

we use khaos control to process our orders, would there be anyway to have it automatically export to khaos from every site?

It might be worth you looking at our multichannel version of One Stop Order Processing, with this you can import orders from several Actinic sites into one of it's sites for processing.

and it allows you to create a customised order list that can then be exported.

So you could use One Stop Automation to collect the orders from all the sites and use this to create a file that you could import to khaos.

Alternatively, you could write or have written a custom program to export the orders in a form suitable for khaos and then One Stop Automation could run this program for you after downloading the orders.

that sounds perfect however is 7 the maximum number of sites that it can import from?

I'm not sure but can check - it can always be increased if it is - we have some very large customers using it (1000 orders a day) and they are fine so it's not a resource led restriction if it is there.

Ok, I was just playing with the free trial and I have a few questions to ask, does this download straight from the web or do you first need to download the orders in actinic then download it in one stop?

Do the card details get imported as we do not use protx and save for later processing?

can we have more than the 10 available sites?

We do not need the hole one stop system all we need is the actinic import could we not just pay for this one feature and knock something off the price?

It works from the Actinic order database. You can use our One Stop Automation program to automatically download the orders from several sites though.

No, we don't store card details in our program at all.

can we have more than the 10 available sites?

I think the latest version has 15 and you can import orders from up to 10 Actinic sites into each.

We do not need the hole one stop system all we need is the actinic import could we not just pay for this one feature and knock something off the price?

No, we only sell the program as a whole.
